Porter Express: School Delivery

Westlake Porter Public Library is happy to deliver and pick-up items to your school in the city of Westlake.

Deliveries and pick-up of materials are every Tuesday and Thursday that WPPL is open. Materials will be left in the designated location at your school. When you are ready to return items, simply put them in your schools’ designated location and they will be collected on the scheduled pick-up date. You are responsible for scheduling a pick-up if you are returning items earlier than their original due date, or you are returning items that have renewed. Items returned on their original due date do not need to be scheduled.

WPPL staff requires at least 24 hours to fill requests of materials.

School Delivery Request

Please use this form to request materials using your School Delivery Card!

Your school must be located in the city of Westlake to receive delivery/pick-up services.
School Delivery Cards may have up to 200 items on their card at any time. School Librarians may have up to 500 items on their card at any time.
You must pick a Tuesday or Thursday that falls at least 24 hours after your request is submitted.
    • School Delivery Cards allow teachers to check-out up to 200 items at a time and allow school librarians to check-out up to 500 items at a time. WPPL provides delivery and pick-up services for items requested using a School Delivery Card.

    • Any PreK-12 teacher or librarian who works in the city of Westlake is eligible for a School Delivery Card.

    • Use the request form, call the Youth Services Department at 440-250-5471, or visit us in person!

    • Materials circulate for 3 weeks unless otherwise noted. If there are no holds, items can be automatically renewed up to 6 times.

    • Deliveries and pick-ups are on Tuesdays and Thursdays when the library is open. Your school has a designated location where items are delivered. Anything that you need to return should be placed in the designated location by 9:00am on the day of pick-up.

    • WPPL plans to pick-up materials on their due date unless other arrangements are made. Please schedule pick-ups by using the request form or calling the library at 440-250-5471.

    • Print books, magazines, DVDs, Blu-ray discs and CDs.

    • Lost or damaged items must be paid for and are the cardholder’s responsibility.

      • The materials you requested were unavailable.
      • Your library account may have been blocked due to unreturned items. Although there are no fines, you are expected to either pay for the item or return it promptly to resume service of your School Delivery Card.
      • Your items were not requested in enough time for the current delivery day but will be coming on the next possible delivery date.

    • It’s possible your card needs to be renewed or you are blocked due to missing items. Please call the library at 440-871-2600 for details.

    • No, School Delivery Cards are only for teachers who work in Westlake for the purpose of delivery and pick-up. However, you are eligible to get a regular Westlake Library Card and call the Youth Services Department at 440-250-5471 to put together teacher requests for pick-up at Westlake Porter Public Library.

    • If you have a regular Westlake Library card, call the Youth Services Department at 440-254-5471 and we will include an application when we process your delivery request. If you do not have a Westlake Library card, visit WPPL to get started!

    • Most likely! Please include special check-out length requests on your request form.

School Pick-Up Request

Please use this form to request the pick-up of early returns or for items that have been renewed.

  • Pick-ups are on Tuesdays and Thursdays only. Please have all materials to be picked up in your school's designated location by 9:00 am on scheduled pick-up day.
  • If you plan to return materials on their original due date, there is no need to schedule a pick-up.
Your school must be located in the city of Westlake to receive delivery/pick-up services.
