UPDATE 9/25 - All Eclipse Glasses have been claimed. A waiting list is being taken in the event more Eclipse Glasses become available prior to the October 14 partial eclipse.

Northeast Ohio will be experiencing two back-to-back Solar eclipses in October 2023 and April 2024. Solar Eclipse glasses have special lenses that allow you to safely view the sun during the eclipses.

• Partial Solar Eclipse: October 14, 2023 – 11:49 a.m. until 2:28 p.m.
• Total Solar Eclipse: April 8, 2024 – 1:59 p.m. until 4:29 p.m.

Registration for glasses waiting list is required. A valid email address is required to register.

Deadline to register for the WAITING LIST is October 10.

In the event more glasses become available, you will be contacted via e-mail with pickup instructions. Photo ID or Library card is required to pick up glasses. 

Due to the high demand for eclipse glasses, as well as limited quantities, there is a limit of two pairs of glasses per person/request, and a limit of two requests per household (for a total of four pairs). Please share glasses between family members to allow for more members of the community to get glasses. Additionally, please save your Eclipse Glasses for the April 2024 eclipse, as demand will be higher and availability of glasses is not guaranteed.
