Celebrate comic books with us! We will be giving out free comic books at the lobby all day while supplies last.

GarfieldDungeon Crawler Carl #0May 2 is Free Comic Book Day and Comics Giveaway Day. Westlake Porter Public Library is celebrating comic books with a host of activities, raffles and giveaways. 

  • 9 a.m. Grab your free comic books—up to four per person—in the lobby all day while supplies last.
  • 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Learn how to Make Your Own Comic from our Youth Services staff in the Technology Training Lab. Make buttons out of your drawings! 
  • All Day
    • Take selfies with superhero and cartoon figures created by Westlake resident, Mel Maurer. The figures will be on display at the lobby and in Youth Services. 
    • Enter to win 3D-printed characters (courtesy of our Makerspace). Come in (library-appropriate) costume to get an extra raffle entry.
