Free Comic Book Day

Join us to celebrate Free Comic Book Day! We will be giving out free comic books at the lobby all day while supplies last.

Westlake Porter Public Library is celebrating Free Comic Book Day with a host of activities, raffles and giveaways

• 9 a.m. Grab your free comic books (four per person) at the lobby all day while supplies last
• 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Learn how to 'Make Your Own Comic' from our Youth Services staff. Make buttons out of your drawings!
• All Day
  • Take selfies with superhero and cartoon character figures created by Westlake resident, Mel Maurer. The figures will be on display at the lobby and in Youth Services. New this year - Big Bird!
  • Enter to win 3D-printed characters (courtesy of our Makerspace). Those who come in (library-appropriate) costume are eligible to get an extra raffle entry  

LEAD-OFF EVENTS include:

• Preservation and Celebration of Vintage Comics - Tuesday, April 29, 7-8 pm (register to join)
• Operation Comic Book: How to Make a Comic - Wednesday, April 30, 7-8 pm (register to join)
