SearchOhio and OhioLINK Requests

OhioLINK Downtime

Starting May 23, 2025, OhioLINK will be unavailable until November 2025 as the OhioLINK Libraries upgrade to a new software system. Any OhioLINK materials that you currently have checked out will not be able to be renewed after May 23 and will need to be returned to the library. 

SearchOhio Downtime

Starting August 1, 2025, SearchOhio will be unavailable until November 2025 as the SearchOhio Consortium upgrades their system. Any SearchOhio materials that you currently have checked out will not be able to be renewed after August 1 and will need to be returned to the library. 

Any holds you have placed prior to those dates will be preserved for when access to SearchOhio and OhioLINK resumes. 

Interlibrary loan requests can be made for items that are not available from either WPPL or SearchOhio.

Our new full-featured mobile app is here!

The new app features reading recommendations, a virtual library card, My Account management for renewing checkouts and easy catalog searching for placing holds. Search for Westlake Porter Public Library in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

    • What is SearchOhio? / What is OhioLINK?

      Westlake Porter Public Library is a member of SearchOhio, a sharing consortium that lets WPPL customers borrow from the collections of other public libraries across the state. You can use SearchOhio to request items we don't own in our collection and have them delivered to the Westlake library.

      OhioLINK is a similar consortium of college and university libraries around the state of Ohio.
