Earth Day!

The LoraxDr. Seuss wrote The Lorax over 40 years ago and it seems to be a book ahead of its time.  The Lorax is the perfect book to introduce the idea of conservation and what it would be like to live with limited resources.  This is a must read for Earth Day (April 22).  You can round out the experience with Lorax the movie.

Transfer Super 8/8mm Film to Digital

We had another great turnout for the "Transfer Your Memories To Digital" class at our last Maker Monday. In previous blog posts, we described the different formats you could transfer to digital formats here- vinyl records, audiocassettes, VHS tapes, slides, and photographs (or anything else that can be scanned on our copiers to a USB drive).
New since last time is the addition of a Super 8/8mm film converter. Read on to see how it works!

Film Festival Films

Awards season may have come to an end, but here in Cleveland preparations are in full swing for the 42nd Cleveland International Film Festival (CIFF). This year’s CIFF, which takes place April 4-April 15 at Tower City Cinemas, offers 215 feature films representing 72 countries, plus short films, virtual reality films and interactive media projects. https://www.clevelandfilm.org/.

The Olympics
