Jim Hajek Receives Myrna Chelko Award

Chelko Award winner 2017 Jim Hajek

Congratulations to Jim Hajek, our 2017 Myrna Chelko Award winner!

Jim began volunteering in 2003 and has amassed over 1,400 hours of volunteer time. He has been integral to the Friends of the Library’s Annual Book Sale for several years now. Not only has Jim hauled thousands of book from storage areas to the sale rooms, he has also spent many hours price checking special books, which are sold on Ebay or in the Book Sale at special prices, garnering thousands of dollars more in revenue for the Friends. His efforts have been invaluable to both the Friends and the Library. Thank you, Jim!
