The first work day of the month saw the garden's underground irrigation system being installed. |

Planting of trees and shrubs began May 5. The garden is beginning to look green! |

The first day's planting went well but there's much more to do. Ahhh.... the smell of fresh topsoil and mulch! |

Trim and roofing are applied to the "potting shed" structure and a mysterious object covered in a blue tarpaulin appears. Hmm... what could it be? |

From under the tarp came a beautiful bronze fountain --a boy under an umbrella-- to become a water feature in the northeastern area of the garden. |

A protective coating of stain is applied to one of the pergolas while another worker prepares base posts for the garden's outer wall. |

It's the last day of May and work has begun on the final major component of the project: the masonry and steel outer wall. When finished it will be an attractive feature... really! |
