July construction photos...
Back from the July 4th holiday, craftsmen apply a brick face to the garden's outer wall. Dark posts will support a decorative security fence atop the masonry wall. |

Meanwhile, other workers install a recirculating fountain in the southwestern corner of the garden. This will create a quiet, shady space for reading, conversation, or contemplation. |

The garden wall nears completion as emergency exit frames are installed and masonry built up over them. The dry summer has been hard on lawn grass making the garden's first greenery all the more inviting. |

Landscapers place shrubbery and loads of topsoil and mulch as planting beds are dressed and site cleanup begins. In the background, the construction trailer has been removed and heavy equipment strips away the temporary access drive. |

Electricians install exit lighting at the doors, and full-cutoff (non-glaring) area lighting fixtures in the center of the garden. Sod installed in the center circle covers the last bare earth inside the wall. Mulch and grass seed will, with a little help from Mother Nature, restore the lawn areas disturbed by construction beyond the wall. |
