Phillips "Union House" Hotel was located at the northwest corner of Dover and Center Ridge Roads. It was not only a stage coach stop and horse changing station, but also had a dance floor that was very popular with local residents. The hotel was lost in 1907 when its owner started a kitchen fire and ended up burning the hotel to the ground. The memory of good times lives on in this block pieced and quilted by Peg Lavelle.
