The Clague House stands today as the Clague Museum, listed in the National Register of Historic Places in July 1975. The museum was actually the third house to be built on that site, the first being a log cabin and the second, a wooden frame structure. The Clague House, as we know it today, is believed to have been built in 1876 on 12 1/2 of the 78 1/2 acres donated to the city as Clague Park. This block was pieced and quilted by Mary Ann Stanley.
