Hello! My name is Joyce Igel and I am a substitute library assistant in Youth Services. After working with children as a speech pathologist and a substitute teacher, being invited to work at Westlake Porter Public Library has been a dream come true!

As a child, my family encouraged me to read, read, read, but I think I had more fun pretending “library!” After pretending, I worked in a college library and volunteered at my children’s school libraries. I hope to help kids of all ages develop into life-long readers, since now all I want to do is read, read, read!
