Interlibrary Loan Services Westlake Porter Public Library makes interlibrary loan services available to its customers. Through interlibrary loan, Westlake Porter Public Library borrows books audiocassettes, and non-fiction videos it does not own from other cooperating libraries. Copies of magazine articles can also be requested. Customers should make interlibrary loan requests via the Reference desk. The average amount of time needed to receive an interlibrary loan request is about two weeks. Please note the following types of books are not usually available through interlibrary loan: unusual books (first editions, only copies, poor condition, etc.), Reference books, genealogical type materials and newly published (up to 6 months) fiction and non-fiction. Generally speaking, single issue of magazines, CDs, feature films, and records are not available through interlibrary loan. |
