WPPL Computer Class Schedule

Patrons arriving late may lose their seat if other patrons are waiting.
Notify the library at least 24 hours in advance if you are unable to attend a class.
Pay attention to any class prerequisites. All classes, except Mouse 101 and Computers for Beginners, require mouse skills.
Staff suggests taking classes in the order listed.
Seating is limited, so registration is required.

Computers for Beginners

Ability to use a mouse required. Practice turning a computer on and shutting a computer down. Learn about types of hardware and software, memory, drives and storage devices, and parts of the desktop.

Introduction to Windows & Toolbars

Ability to use a mouse required. Practice using toolbars and drop-down menus, creating and deleting folders, copying, pasting, and saving documents. Explore the start menu.

Introduction to the Internet

Ability to use a mouse required. Learn about types of Internet connections, web browsers, web addresses, and how to get to a web site.

Introduction to Yahoo Email

Ability to use a mouse required. For new Yahoo email users only. Learn how to set up and start using a free Yahoo email account.

Ability to use a mouse required. Learn basic word processing skills using Microsoft Word. Learn how to change the size, color, and type of font. Practice indenting and aligning text and using copy, cut, and paste.
