Photo Albums: Images from recent eventsA Pocket Full of Music: Part of the summer's programming, "A Pocketful of Music," by Hal Walker, entertained children with musical instruments from around the world. Barnyard Games: In "Barnyard Games" kids played a variety of carnival games for fun and prizes. Bling, Bingo, and Baking: Summer activities for Teens included custom-decorated flip-flops on June 13. Cow Bingo was the traditional game with a twist -- cows instead of letters and numbers (June 20). Taking advantage of the summer sun, Kathleen Rocco from the Cuyahoga County Solid Waste District taught teens to make ovens from pizza boxes and sun-bake cookies July 25! Dance, Scoop, Juggle, Cowabunga! Kids had fun this summer with an appearance by dancer Tom Evert who showed them his brand of modern dance ... and taught them a few moves of their own June 20. Getting the scoop, children learned all about ice cream, made an "ice cream" craft, and enjoyed real root beer floats. 2006 Ice Cream Social: Sweetly marking the end of the Summer Reading Program on July 24, this community favorite was hosted, as always, by the Friends of Westlake Porter Public Library.
