Introducing mobile WiFi Hotspots available for checkout from your library!

Mobile Hotspots provide Internet access for up to ten smartphones, tablets, and devices through the Sprint cellular network, making it handy for traveling with your family, friends, or teammates. Adults with a valid WPPL library card in good standing are eligible to check out a mobile Hotspot.

New Senior Book Group Program

Book Club Bag: Large Print The Women in the Castle

WPPL is now offering a Senior Book Group Program. Book Club bags are available to check out for six weeks and contain 10 copies of Large Print titles plus a supplementary guide to facilitate book group discussions. Sixteen different titles will be available throughout the year, with four new titles available each quarter.

Introducing automatic renewals, timelier overdue notices

To help make managing your library accounts a little easier, the Westlake Library is introducing a couple of changes.

Automatic renewals: Each day when the library closes, a computer program will check the system for items that were due that day and will attempt to renew them. Each card holder with successful auto-renewals will receive an emailed list of their renewed items along with the new due dates. Starting date: Monday, January 29, 2018.

Do you have a photograph of yourself, or of a loved one– living or deceased– showing a smile brought about by a special moment in time? Would you like to share that smile, along with the story behind the big smile? If so… WE WANT YOU! We are looking for photos of happy smiling residents of Westlake for a community display at Westlake Porter Public Library.

Photos can be recent or old. Copies will be made of all photos.
