The music business celebrated last night with the 60th Annual Grammy Awards on CBS. Among the big winners were Bruno Mars, Alessia Cara, and Ed Sheeran.

Last night, new and old stars from Broadway came together to celebrate the theater at the 71st Annual Tony Awards. The big winner was the musical Dear Evan Hansen, which took home six awards. Longstanding Broadway favorites Bette Midler (Best Actress: Hello Dolly) and Kevin Kline (Best Actor: Present Laughter) were winners as well.

Bob Dylan and the Nobel Prize

Have you heard the news?  Bob Dylan is the first musician to win the Nobel Prize for literature!  This is a monumental event, and has been generating some controversy.  While many have cited Dylan's lyrics as poetry, which can be enjoyed with or without music, others have protested that this violates the sanctity of the award, by giving it to someone who does not actually write literature.
