........... a book. The title of it is......you may have guessed by now.....WONDER by R.J. Palacio. It has received many starred reviews and raves already. The story is of 10 --year --old August, "Auggie" Pullman whose sincerest wish is to just be accepted as an ordinary kid.
However, Auggie was born with a terrible facial deformity. He'd been homeschooled all his life. Now he is about to enter a regular school for fifth grade. Imagine how hard it is to be the new kid in school. Now imagine how difficult it would be to also have a major deformity, one that causes stares and makes people turn away from him.
