Well ladies and gentlemen, the madness is finally here! That’s right March Madness is upon us so you better get your brackets in order. My brackets are always terrible because I always have Ohio teams going too far, with Ohio State winning it all every time. Considering they haven’t won the tournament since 1960, I’ve been quite the little failure for a while now. Regardless, I have set up a bracket tournament challenge on Yahoo! so if you have a Yahoo! account you can all fill out your bracket and beat me too! Books!
I just finished reading the book Everlost by Neal Shusterman. Published in 2006, it’s not altogether that new of a book, but I finally got around to reading it and can definitely recommend it. The main characters, Nick and Allie, die in the first couple pages of the book. On their way to “the light”, they’re bumped off course and wind up in an in-between dimension called Everlost where they exist on Earth like ghosts. In a land full of other Everlost children some good, some bad, where standing in one place too long can result in sinking all the way to the Earth’s core, while a horrible creature called the McGill preys on Everlost souls, Nick and Allie struggle to find their place and purpose in this often dangerous world. Can they ever go back to regular life on Earth? Can they make it the rest of the way to “the light”? Or are they doomed to wander around Everlost until the end of time?
