WordWeaver wishes you a Happy........

Valentine's Day. To celebrate , WordWeaver will pass on the gift of a beautiful love story. It is one that will pull at the strings of your heart and cause a few tears here and there, but it will also make you laugh and smile and heave a satisfied sigh at the end. It is THE BOY ON CINNAMON STREET by Phoebe Stone, the author of THE ROMEO AND JULIET CODE as well as other good books. (See WordWeaver's blog for May 26, 2011).

Louise is not Louise anymore. She changed her name to Thumbelina, the character from her very favorite fairy tale. Louise doesn't live in her old house anymore. She lives with her grandparents. Louise doesn't do gymnastics anymore even though she was extremely talented.

The day she ordered a pizza was the day things began to change in small ways. Did she have a crush on the delivery boy? Did he send her an admiring note? Her friend Reni helps her try to figure out who likes her while Reni's brother Henderson, Louise's other best friend retreats to the background in her life and she doesn't know why.

The notes and signs keep coming but are they coming from the pizza guy? Or are they coming from someone else, someone who truly loves her and wants her to become Louise again and to face the family tragedy she has shut out of her life. This book is a poetic and lyrical tale and one that makes you want a special guy like her secret admirer in your life. WordWeaver says, "Enjoy!"image of heart
