Helllloooooooooooo everybody! Introductory blog entries are never easy, so I’m going to make sure that this one is as horrible as possible. First things first: Welcome to The Hob! (Corny, I know. I’m sorry.) I plan to cover things from teen books (obviously, this is a library), to sports, to gaming, to movies and to whatever else pops into my head while writing.
In lieu of a clever segue, I’m just going to jump right into it:
BOOKS! READING! AWESOME!
Did you think I was going to start with football, what with the Pro Bowl and Super Bowl coming up? NOPE! (Chuck Testa?) It’s Australian Open season, we’re talking tennis here, people. It may seem kind of strange, but the Australian Open is one of my favorite sporting events of the year. I’m kind of a night owl, so Australian prime time coincides perfectly with my prime time and I love it. The women’s final pits Victoria Azarenka of Belarus against Maria Sharapova from Russia. You can watch it tonight/Saturday morning on ESPN2 at 3:00 AM! Don’t worry if you can’t stay up that late, you can catch a replay at either 9:00 AM or 10:00 PM on Saturday too. On the men’s side of things, Novak Djokovic from Serbia will be taking on the Spaniard, Rafael Nadal, on ESPN2 Saturday/Sunday morning at 3:00 AM, with replays at 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM. If I had to pick winners, I would probably go with Azarenka and Djokovic. However, both Sharapova and Nadal are proven champions and it would hardly be an upset if either one pulls off the win.
That’s all for now ladies and gentlemen, if you have anything you’d like to add, or know of any great books/games/movies please don’t hesitate to comment! See ya next time!
