Get Organized!
So, I recently snagged a new book from the shelf with this title: That Crumpled Paper was Due Last Week: helping disorganized and distracted boys succeed in school and life, by Ana Homayoun. To say this book is wonderful doesn't even begin to describe its usefulness. And let me just add: boys aren't the only students who are disorganized or distracted (trust me!). That said, this author will quickly become the hero of many. She runs her own business (too bad it's in California), called Green Ivy Educational Consulting. Her website is quite helpful as well, www.greenivyed.com.
If you're looking for more titles to help the boy in your life, Michael Gurian's books might be the answer to your needs. One is entitled, The Minds of boys: saving our sons from falling behind in school and life.
