.....that a sequel is being published for the 1908 classic WIND IN THE WILLOWS by Kenneth Grahame. It is RETURN TO THE WILLOWS BY Jacqueline Kelly and is being published by Holt this October. WordWeaver highly recommends that you read the original book so that you can enjoy the new sequel this fall. The original book follows the adventures of friendly Mole and his friends, the irrepressible Mr. Toad, Ratty the water rat who loves boats, and the rather grumpy Badger.
The new book is written by Jacqueline Kelly, the author of THE EVOLUTION OF CALPURNIA TATE. Many more adventures are in store for the friends and there is an old fashioned feel to the tale which works well. Readers ages 8 & up will enjoy this book or younger ones will love having the original one read to them as well as this new sequel. Enjoy!
