WORDWEAVER just read ..........
a graphic novel for the first time. And what a strong tale it told mostly in pictures. The book is THE STORM IN THE BARN by Matt Phelan, a 2010 Scott O'Dell Award for Historical Fiction. This is definitely a book for middle school ages. It is graphic in every sense of the word, the story being told through wonderful illustrations that depict emotion, fear, sadness and more.

book recently. It is CAMILLE MCPHEE FELL UNDER THE BUS by Kristen Tracy. Think of worst things happening, such as having low blood sugar, falling under the school bus, losing your cat and your best friend is moving far away. Well poor Camille McPhee is loaded with all those worst things. But she stays hopeful and works on a positive attitude. Will this help?
