The library will be closed on Sunday, May 26th and Monday, May 27th in observance of Memorial Day.
The parking lot will be closed for sealing and painting all day on Sunday, so you will not be able to access the book drops. On Monday, the lot will be opened gradually as the paint dries.

June 11 at 7pm: Treat yourself to something different, as the Burning River Roller Girls roller derby team will talk about roller derby and even demonstrate some of their moves! They'll be joined by their junior "sisters" the RockStars junior derby team. Program will take place in the library's parking lot. No registration required!

Westlake Porter Public Library and Westlake City Schools are partnering to present an interactive summer learning series for students entering Grades1-6. Called “Summer Brain Games,” the series will be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from June 11 through August 22, excluding breaks for the week of July 4 and Science Week (August 4-10).
Through a grant from the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History, Westlake Porter Public Library will be bringing you special programming and resources on the Civil War. From March through September, keep an eye out for special programs and reading groups on topics centered on the war between the states. Visit our Civil War Reading Group page for more details.
